Q: Can I use all of your supplements at the same time?

A: Absolutely. Our supplements are a great addition to both conventional and raw diets, and can be used in conjunction with each other! Remember to start slowly and build up to the full recommended serving size. Sudden diet changes may cause temporary stomach upset. 

Q: Where are your ingredients sourced?

A: Our ingredients are sourced only from farmers inspected and certified to USDA organic standards and then mixed in our own certified USDA organic facility here in the United States. We partner with farmers in the United States whenever possible, and list the botanical origin of each ingredient on the supplement product pages. 

Q: How much turmeric/curcumin is in each tablespoon of Hip&Joint?

A: Our Hip&Joint Supplement has about 23% turmeric by weight. There is approximately 8.25g/8,250mg of our supplement in each tablespoon, so about 1,897.5 mg of turmeric in the same (8,250*.23=1,897.5 mg). 

Turmeric is prized for its high concentrations of curcumin, which has been shown effective as anti-inflammatory in preliminary clinical trials for the treatment of arthritis. Turmeric contains about 3.14% curcumin, so we can estimate 59.58 mg of curcumin per tablespoon. But do not compare pure curcumin extract for the relative amounts of curcumin, because curcumin must be mixed with other real foods to increase bioavailability. The inclusion of black pepper increases bioavailability by 2,000%. (See this link explaining this huge jump.) Curcumin is fat soluble, which is why we mix it with coconut (a good fat!) to further increase absorption.
